Jafflong Tea Company Ltd has been acquired by Orion Group in the year 2005. It is located at Jafflong under Gowainghat Upazilla, Sylhet. JTCL is the only Flat Land tea estate in north east region of the country. It stands at the foot of Meghalaya mountain range and very near to the Jafflong Tourism Centre beside the Peyain River which is especially familiar for its most attractive natural beauty.
The entire tea estate encompasses an area of 875.78 hectors of land where 330.56 hectors are being utilized for Tea plantation. The operation of the Tea estate is under an efficient and professional management team who are working hard to improve the harvest and quality respectively.
We have taken various development programs for both Field and Factory after taking over from Games Finlay who established this tea estate in 1884. We have raised tea, shade and forestry plant in own nursery for the development of field. Now, around 700 labors are working in the estate daily and 14 supervision staffs as well.
