Japanese Language Courses

Languages open doors to the new world. The Japanese Language is an important language in today’s world. At present more & more people seem to be learning Japanese in order to know more about Japan which is the 2^nd biggest economic power in the world at present.

In Bangladesh, more & more students are now looking for Japanese Universities for their higher studies and research. The economic and trade ties between Bangladesh & Japan are also getting stronger day by day resulting into more interactions between the businessmen of these two countries. The exchange of cultural programs between our two countries is also increasing gradually.

In the light of the above developments, JUAAB has been offering Japanese Language Courses of various durations with the help of native teachers from Japan. At present, the courses are:

1. Special Conversation course of 1-3 months, duration for the “Mombukagakusho Scholarship Awardees” before their departure for Japan for April and October sessions.
2. Conversation Course of 3 months duration (one after another) for anybody interested to learn Japanese.
3. Comprehensive Japanese Language Course of six month duration (January—June) and (June - November) for those who would like to study deeper and to sit for JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) examinations in Bangladesh.This course will continue for further one year for the examinees of higher levels of JLPT.

In all of the above course, the students have the opportunity to know about the life & culture in Japan. The courses are also supported by a rich collection of Japanese text books & reference books, video films and other audio-visual teaching aids.

In April 2009, the Japan Foundation has recognized our JUAAB Japanese Language School and has given it the membership of “Sakura Network” for a period of five years. This has definitely enhanced the prestige of improve the quality of our courses.

JUAAB is an association formed in September 2000, by Bangladeshi nationals who have earned academic degrees from Japanese institutions. The association, aims to promote exchange of academic, scientific, technological and cultural activities between Bangladesh and Japan.

Ikebana Japanese Style of Flower Arrangement Course

Love of flower is as old as human civilization. People are gathering and preserving flower from time immemorial. It is the beauty, colour, scent and from of the flower that made it so precious.

People used to keep flower in their home, office and public places. The beauty of flower partly depends on its arrangement. One of the Japanese ways of arranging fresh flower is IKEBANA.

In IKEBANA, flowers are arranged neatly and symbolically . Japanese believe in the harmony of nature and art. In IKEBANA one net only arrange flowers, but bring harmony between leaves, stem and even the vase. It is the elegance of composition using minimum flowers, leaves etc. that made IKEBANA a fascinating art.

The history of IKEBANA is age old in Japan. The style and sophistication of IKEBANA has attracted people all over the world. But to become a master of IKEBANA, one needs training and practice. Thus one may acquire tricks and tips of arranging flower in different ways that would enhance the beauty of place and peace in mind.

JUAAB, an association of Bangladeshi nationals who earned their degrees in Japan, is introducing artistry of IKEBANA in Bangladesh.

Dry Flower Making is also a modern art which is also quite popular in Japan and other countries including Bangladesh. The splendid merit of Dry Flower is that it lasts for a very long time. It can also be used together with fresh flowers and leaves for IKEBANA. On top of that Dry Flower has a good commercial value and one can become an entrepreneur through Dry Flower Making.
