Peuli (Ulipristal Acetate INN 30 mg) tablet is an Emergency Contraceptive (EC) pill,prevents unwanted pregnancy within 5 days after unprotected intercourse
Safety Information
a. Repeated used within the same menstrual cycle
Peuli® is for occasional use only. Repeated use within the same menstrual cycle is not recommended.
b. Use during lactation
Ulipristal Acetate excretes in breast milk. So, breastfeeding is not recommended for one week after the intake. One should express out her breast milk during this period.
c. Contraindication
When one is allergic to the active ingredients of Ulipristal Acetate or suspects that she is pregnant, Ulipristal acetate is not recommended.
d. Fertility after Peuli use
After using Peuli® there is a rapid return of fertility. So, for the later episode of coitus till next menstruation, it is advisable to use barrier method ex. Condom.
