Knowledge is power.College Monogram: The monogram of Rangpur Cadet College is a meaningful symbol. There is an equilateral triangle in the circle of its basic design. The triangle symbolizes discipline of the college whereas all the college activities are represented by the circle. This symbol implies that all the college activities revolve round discipline. In the three angles of the equilateral triangle, there are three colours – red, sea-blue and sky-blue. Red colour has been extracted from the Bangladesh Army, sea-blue from the Bangladesh Navy and sky-blue from the Bangladesh Air Force respectively. In the three corners of the triangle, there are three symbols - a flame (representing ‘ray of hope’), a nib (representing ‘education’) and a water lily, our national flower, (representing patriotism).
College Flag: The total shape of the flag of Rangpur Cadet College is rectangular. The ratio of its length and width is 3:2. One third of the flag towards the flag post is orange in colour which symbolizes ‘hope in life’. Blue, yellow and green – these three colours in the flag represent three Houses.
Houses: In Rangpur Cadet College, there are three Houses for the cadets to reside in. They are Omar Faruque House, Titumir House and Bir Shrestha Jahangir House.
(a) Omar Faruque House :House motto – Aim is the victory; House symbol : Naked sword ; House colour : Blue ; The House has been named after Hazral Omar Faruque (R), one of the greatest Muslim leaders and Caliphs of Islam, who is an embodiment of honesty, truthfulness, simplicity, justice and bravery. (b) Titumir House : House motto: We are fearless ; House symbol : Clenched fist; House colour : Yellow ; The House has been named after Syed Mir Nisar Ali Titumir, a great patriot, brave soldier, social reformer, uncompromising and revolutionary leader, who sacrificed his life struggling hard to establish the rights of the poor, the exploited and the oppressed against the misrule, corruption, exploitation and injustice of the British govt. (c) Bir Shrestha Jahangir House; House motto: Victory in struggle ; House symbol : The rising sun ; House colour : Green ; The House has been named after Captain Bir Shrestha Mohiuddin Jahangir, a true patriot, an indomitable sun-soldier and a great hero of our liberation war who sacrificed his life and snatched the sun of independence fighting the Pak-soldiers bravely for his ever green mother land.
