Taka Museum launched formally on 27 April, 2013 by Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

The museum was inaugurated on 5 October, 2013 by Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly and from then the museum is open for general people.

The main objective for establishing the Taka Museum is to foster the chronological sequence of ancient coinage & currencies of Bengal as well as of the Indian subcontinent, its aesthetic presentation and to reveal the history of currencies of Bangladesh and rest of the world.

Taka Museum has provided the opportunity to enhance currency related knowledge through enjoyment. Visit the Taka Museum, get fun & satiate your mind.

Visiting Hours:

Saturday to Wednesday: 11.00 am to 5.00 pm
Friday: 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm
Thursday & Govt. Holidays: Closed
