১৯৬২ সালে ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ায় তিতাস নদীর তীরে বিরাট গ্যাস ক্ষেত্র আবিষ্কৃত হওয়ার সাথে সাথে বাংলাদেশে প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস ব্যবহারে এক নতুন দিগন্তের সূচনা হয়। ১৯৬৪ সালের ২০ নভেম্বর তিতাস গ্যাস ট্রান্সমিসন এন্ড ডিস্ট্রিবিউশন কোম্পানী লিমিটেড জন্মলাভ করে আজ ৫০ বছর পূর্ণ করেছে। তৎকালীন সরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠান শিল্প উন্নয়ন সংস্থা কর্তৃক ১৪″ব্যাস সম্পন্ন ৫৮ মাইল দীর্ঘ তিতাস-ডেমরা সঞ্চালন পাইপলাইন নির্মাণের পর ১৯৬৮ সালের ২৮ এপ্রিল সিদ্ধিরগঞ্জ তাপ বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রে গ্যাস সরবরাহের মাধ্যমে কোম্পানী বাণিজ্যিক কার্যক্রম শুরু করে। একটি প্রগতিশীল জাতীয় প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে তিতাস গ্যাস তার সেবার মাধ্যমে জনগণের আস্থাভাজন হবার গৌরব অর্জন করেছে।নিবন্ধিত অফিস : তিতাস গ্যাস ভবন, ১০৫ কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম এভিনিউ, ঢাকা-১২১৫ কাওরান বাজার বাণিজ্যিক এলাকা.
