Zarreen Farms Limited (Motijheel)

Zarreen Farms Limited (ZFL), a joint venture project between M.M. Ispahani Limited and M.M. Agha Limited was incorporated in 1997 as a public limited company with the objective of producing healthy high-breed day–old commercial chicks for small farmers. ZFL completed the construction of two environmentally controlled houses (ECH) in January 1998. Rearing of parent birds and the production of hatching eggs was started in the same year.

In 1999 two more ECHs were constructed which brought the capacity of rearing to 16,000 parent birds in a total space of 32,000 square feet. In 2001 and 2002 Zarreen Farms Ltd. was equipped with two incubator machines with hatching capacities of 90,000 and 120,000 eggs respectively. The company was further equipped with the addition of two more local sheds measuring 15,300 sft. for the rearing of 5,000 parent birds. In the year 2010 and 2011 the company constructed another four local sheds measuring 47,400 sft for rearing of about 23,000 parent birds.

At present ZFL has a capacity to produce 5.76 million hatching eggs and 4.5 million day-old commercial chicks per year.
